You start off with a Barn, a chicken, and a cow, and a small plot of land in which you’ll grow the crops that form the core of your production performance. A helpful NPC will appear and give you a few tasks, in a bid to show you the ropes of the game. Take careful note of what the NPC is teaching you, as it’ll be very useful as you progress deeper into this farm simulator.
The tasks are quite easy to follow. You can find the portrait of the NPC at the upper left corner of the screen. Click on it, and you will see the tasks that he or she has given you, as well as their status, e.g have you accomplished those tasks yet or not. If you’re unsure how to perform the task that’s right in front of you, you can simply click on “Show Me” so you’ll know where to go.
So what are the tasks that you can expect to go here in Sunny Fields?
First, you will have to plant your crops. You start off with four farm plots, but you can expand it to 16 plots initially. You can add more free plots of land when you expand your farm, and you do this by purchasing additional territory around your property. The process involves simple clicking - you click on the Plot, select the Crop from the pop-up box and click on it to plant.
Harvesting is the same. You simply click on the mature crop and the system will automatically collect the plants. These are sent to your Silo or Farm for storage.
There are two things that you can do with your crops. They can be used as raw materials to produce animal feeds, or they can be sold directly to your neighbors. You can find an Order Booth detailing what you need in order to sell to your fellow players. You simply click on the Truck Icon when all the parameters have been met, and your order is on it sway!
Make sure to collect the cash when it comes home, so you can complete the transaction.
There are a lot of other activities that you can do when you hit certain levels. At Level 24, for example, you will be able to catch fish at a pond located near your farm. There are also a lot of features that are coming, making the future very exciting for people who join the community of Sunny Fields as early as now.
