Advice for New Second Life Players

इस लेख का मूल्यांकन करे Newbies need not be scared of joining a new virtual world. They are very much welcome in Second Life. आभासी दुनिया की जगह - Advice for New Second Life Players

There’s always a first time for everything in this world. For virtual worlds, there definitely is a first time for everybody.

Because of the openness of the worlds that they offer, games like Second Life are undoubtedly attractive rookie after rookie to sign up for their service. After all, they’re free and, in return, they offer one an irresistible opportunity to be who they want to be and what they should be without worrying about the norms in society.

So, what’s keeping you right now from signing on to Second Life? Register now, and we’ll walk you through the things that you, as a new player, have to remember here in the game.

First off, imagination is the only limit that you are constricted to here in the game. Almost everything is permitted here. Did you know that there are adult-oriented parties hosted by certain players every once in a while? Yes, people can be as nasty here as they want to… provided that you are at the right forum or chat room.

The public rooms, on the other hand, are a different matter altogether. Everyone here is expected to abide by etiquette for online conversations. Most, if not all, of the chat rooms have a moderator, while some do not. Be careful when you’re in those rooms that are moderated – you could get kicked out or banned for unacceptable behavior.

Worry not though – just keep going around the virtual world and you can find the rooms that you will certainly be at home in. It’s a big world to explore when you’re new, but you’ll get the hang of it in no time.

Second advice – strike a conversation! You wouldn’t know if the user is interested in the same things that you are if you don’t talk to them first. That might be difficult to do when you’re still wandering around looking for a room you’ll be welcomed to, but when you’re in one, it’s easier to find someone to talk to.

Be yourself, is what the third advice will be. Remember, you’re in Second Life to create a new life for yourself (hence the name). Don’t hold yourself back. The people in the virtual world don’t know who you are beyond your avatar, and you have all the power within you to keep your identity hidden if that’s what you want to do.

You don’t have to tell everyone who you are in the real world, because most of them will not ask unless you want them to.

Last but not the least, be creative. You have a personal abode that’s given to you, and it’s yours to remodel as you see fit. Decorate it using your amazing sense of artistry. Again, don’t hold back – imagination is the limit here.

Bring about the interior designer in you with your personal home, but don’t forget to invite people over for a private party. They can rate your creation, and add to your popularity in-game too.

Second Life is without doubt one of the best virtual worlds that you can join in. With these advices in hand, you’d acclimate to Second Life’s environment in no time.
