Take over your ailing family business and bring back up to the ground.

Solve the mystery of what happened to your uncle, and the business’ caretaker.

Engage in an interesting variety of missions and quests to earn experience and cash.

Rarely do you see a virtual world that goes beyond the cutesy and the glam. However, you get exactly the opposite of those two when you play Suburbia 2. In here, the virtual world genre takes on an investigative flavor.

In this game, you play the role of an heiress who has to take over the family’s catering business after her uncle, the previous administrator of the enterprise, mysteriously disappeared together with his assistant, Liselle.

Now, not only do you have to serve customers’ orders... You also have to engage your neighbors so you’ll get to the bottom of the mystery which, unfortunately, hints at murder.

Tasks here in this virtual world are varied, and are guaranteed not to be monotonous. Yes, there are tasks that repeat themselves especially when you look at the order board. However, while these are important to earning cash and experience points, the order board takes second priority when special missions are issued to you by the people in your neighborhood.

Your neighbors usually come by and ask for a dish or two but, once you’ve fulfilled the order, this triggers a short conversation that eats away at the veil of mystery surrounding your uncle’s disappearance and the sudden downturn of the family business.

This feature provides extra incentive for you, the player, to fulfill those special missions and not just focus on the orders. This is a feature that’s not usually found in a virtual world, and this gem of a game is one of those rares ones to incorporate such a mechanic into its gameplay.

As you play more, you’ll find that you will need to invest in some machines, just like you would in real life if you run a catering business. You’ll know it when you need to do so because the game gives you a tip just to warn you that you’d need to acquire a new cooking machine from the Suburbia Mall.

Suburbia 2 also allows you to visit your neighbors, but only when you have something to deliver to them. This usually triggers the dialogue or conversation mentioned earlier.

Just like most virtual worlds, this game is a real-time adventure, which means tasks will take time to be accomplished. Durations of jobs could be as short as thirty seconds, but can also be as long as a day. However, you can speed up tasks by consuming diamonds, the game’s special currency. You can use these diamonds to speed your progress up early on in the game, but you’d have to purchase more using real cash if you run out.

To sum it all up, Suburbia 2 is an interesting and highly engaging virtual world boasting of a compelling plot that is well played out by the game’s quests and scenarios. It’s not too far-fetched of an idea that you would find yourself spending hours upon hours following the story.

Best part is - the game’s totally free on Facebook. So what are you waiting for? Suburbia 2 Summary
