There are tons of different building types that you need to deploy. You need residential buildings such as tiny houses, Pink houses, Cozy houses and many more. You need these residential buildings to gain more workers and to have a bigger population in your city. You need to achieve certain levels in order to unlock new houses such as city apartments, old style buildings, bungalows and many more.
You also need to create more businesses such as flower shops, bakeries, ice cream parlors and many more. You just need to tap on these buildings and drag the supply icon to resupply them. And once they have done their productions, you can collect taxes from them by swiping the purse icon.
The citizens have different needs such as finding their lost cat, providing them with honey and many more. You can collect their items by looking for them around town or you can also get them from various shops or other citizens. You can check out where to find what they need by tapping on them and them tapping on the show button.
There are tons of missions that you can do to earn more experience, coins and other supplies. These missions can come from various visitors that can ask for your help. You can tap on their portrait on the lower left part of the screen to view the speech dialogue that can get a bit more information about what they need and a bit of story at the same time.
You can soon find your town having a thriving economy and you can continue to do so by restocking shops and fulfilling various quests. You can also expand your land by buying lots so that you can build more buildings. I can recommend that you follow the storyline so that you can get more ideas on what to do to keep progress going.
