Enjoy an amazing medieval themed farming experience with lots to see.
Raise amazing majestic dragons on your kingdoms for various different bonuses that will assist you greatly on your journey.
Kingdom Quest is a solid farming game that is pretty unique in the sense that it has a medieval setting which is something that’s rarely seen in farming games, if ever. Aside from a unique setting, the game has a ton of new features such as the ability to breed dragons and things like mining iron which are all combined with the traditional farming gameplay to make for a game that’s fresh and enjoyable.
Although the tutorial phase of Kingdom Quest is quite detailed and helpful, it is also incredibly tedious at the same time. The quests you’re assigned to do during the tutorial must be completed and cannot be skipped so you’ll be spending a good bit of time trying to get these finished before you unlock the actual quests but thankfully they’re pretty rewarding so that’s a plus. When looked at as a whole, the tutorial is fairly rewarding but ultimately a relatively tedious task.
Heading into the gameplay, first thing to say is that Kingdom Quest offers everything that you’d find in a good farming game. You’ll be able to plant various different crops and harvest them so you can sell them for groats which is the standard in-game currency. Aside from crops you can also buy a variety of different animals that you can raise on your farm for their natural produce. Aside from the standard features, there’s a lot more going on in Kingdom Quest such as the ability to mine a variety of different resources like iron, copper and stone which can be used for different kinds of structures. Mining resources like this is something that hasn’t been generally seen in farming games but is definitely a nice addition as it adds a new layer of gameplay.
Perhaps the most impressive feature of Kingdom Quest is the addition of dragons. As you progress through the game you’ll eventually run into a few dragon eggs that you can place in any of your areas. After a while the egg will hatch and a baby dragon will be born that you’ll have to feed a bit until it grows up. Once dragons are grown up they’ll provide a various different bonuses to aid you aside from of course the visual flare they bring.
In the graphics department Kingdom Quest fares pretty nicely. All visual details in the game have quite a fair bit of detail in them so they look really sharp. The medieval theme looks pretty stunning and has been executed with near perfection and to add onto this the game is made even better by the great sound effects.
As for micro-transactions, there are various things in Kingdom Quest you can buy with real world money. Aside from the premium currency of florins and standard currency of groats, you’ll also be able to buy speed-ups and keys which are things that increase the speed of construction tasks and unlock new buildings respectively.
Kingdom Quest feels like a breath of fresh air in a genre that most would consider stagnant because of all the generic games there are in it. Kingdom Quest Summary
