The shops in Idle Shop Manager are categorized based on the type of customer satisfaction that they fulfill, namely Energy, Fun and Comfort. For example, the grocery store fulfills Energy requirements, bookstore fulfills Fun, and clothes shop for Comfort. Once all of these customer satisfaction needs are fulfilled, your shops will attract 50 new customers, and the cycle repeats. This can be seen as a type of leveling system that is being employed in this game. There is also quite a number of achievements in the game. Each completion of an achievement rewards a permanent boost in money-making efficiency of the shops.
There are three types of currency that is used in the game, they are cash, coins and gold bars. Cash is the main currency used in the game, and you can earn them through selling products in your shop, which is done automatically by the game. Coins are earned by achieving a specific milestone in the number of customers. Gold bars are the paid currency in the game, that can give you a boost if needed.
