Fisher’s Family Farm is a very exciting farm based time management game in which players get the opportunity to travel to multiple different places around the world in search of exotic fish that they can add to their very own fish farm. It brings a refreshing thematic twist to an already popular genre so it’s definitely a game that players will enjoy quite a bit.
One thing to remember about Fisher’s Family Farm is that it can be rather difficult to get the hang of since it changes a few things in the core formula in order to provide a unique experience. Fortunately, the first few moments of play have a bunch of helpful dialogue boxes that consist of all the information you need to know in order to play the game as well as you can. The dialogue boxes don’t fully make up for the lack of an actual tutorial sequence but they still do the job.
Fisher’s Family Farm utilizes an objective based style for its gameplay. Each level starts off by assigning you a bunch of different objectives to accomplish and then assigning a time frame in which you’re supposed to complete said objectives. The level tasks are quite varied and help keep the game fresh. Some levels will ask you to get ‘x’ amount of ‘y’ product, some will ask you to reach a specified amount of earnings by the end of the level and some levels will give you a combination of both which becomes increasingly common as you move into the later stages of the game. At the end of each level you’ll be given points depending on how well you did and you’ll also get a rating out of three stars depending on how many points you get.
The best part about Fisher’s Family Farm is that it keeps adding new elements to the gameplay as you progress through it. In the later levels you’ll have access to multiple different facilities that can be used to make products that can then be sold in the in-game market for currency.
Going into the visuals, Fisher’s Family Farm does an excellent job of executing the whole fish farm theme. The fish are very well designed, the animations are fluid and there’s just a ton of eye candy to enjoy when playing.
When you download this game for the first time you’ll be able to play it for 60 minutes on a trial basis but after that you’ll need to purchase it in order to lift the time restrictions.
