If you’re looking for a game that is creative and fun, then Chit Chat City is the game for you. After signing up, you’ll be walked through a very simple and short tutorial. Then, you’ll be dropped right in the middle of the bustling city centre – it’s time for you to explore!
First things first, you’ll definitely need a new set of clothes The one that you currently have will mark you as a beginner and besides, those clothes are drab anyway. In this city with shops aplenty, you’ll never run low on things to buy!
Walk around the city centre, visiting endless rows of shops that sell fashionable clothes, furniture, adorable pets, stylish bags and even cool vehicles and scooters! Even after visiting every possible shop in the city centre, there are 5 other, differently-themed cities for you to explore for more goods as well! If you like to add a bit more spice to your adventure, why not press that ‘random shop’ button? You’ll be spirited away to one of the many shops available! That’s not all, you can also buy your own game music. Place the speaker with the songs of your choice at your house or shop and visitors to your place will be able to enjoy your chosen music.
However, you’ll soon realise that in Chit Chat City, there aren’t many computer-generated shops, most of the shops are owned by players! Players are actually encouraged to open shops selling personally designed items, including cars and pets. Let your creativity loose and design wondrous items using the design interface that Chit Chat City has. Want to show your love for your favourite boy band or movie characters? You can, by designing posters or other items after them!
Just a short stroll down the street will show you lots of 5 Seconds of Summer or One Direction themed furniture and posters, Ariana Grande’s clothing line, the dress that Elsa from Frozen wore and many more! There are also various paraphernalia and collectables, like a fleet of racing cars or a collection of emoticon plushies and bean bags, that the player-designers in the game have made available to the public.
Like having Stitch as your pet but you have no idea how to draw it? No worries! You can even commission or request someone to do it for you… for a price of course. There are many shops where players offer their artistic skills to those who lack the skills.
After designing, you’ll surely want to sell them to earn some credits (in-game money). You’ll need to build your shop first! Head to the Property Locator at the city centre to find a free spot for you to set up your own shop. It’ll cost you 800 credits, which will take up almost half of your starting money. Most of the more popular cities are full, but you can hop to other cities to find empty spots as well.
Once you’ve bought your plot of land, you can get some free stuff, like wallpapers, flooring, doors and furniture, at the shops to start you off on your task of building a shop. Although you have limited space, you can expand your place by buying an elevator for a second floor! You can build your shop up to 3 stories high. However, if you don’t have the goods to open a shop, you can design a house instead!
The amount of credits that you have will probably be gone by now. Don’t worry! There Are several easy ways to remedy that! The fastest would be to hunt zombies at the cemetery. You’ll be competing with other players in killing these randomly spawned zombies. For every zombie you kill, you can earn a few hundred credits. There are also tough zombies that are, of course, tougher to kill, but the rewards are better. If you die, there is no penalty except that you’ll be teleported back to the cemetery entrance.
However, this method of earning credits will require some intensive clicking. If you’re more of the relaxed type, you can get credits through an easier way through farming! For the moment, there is only one plant for you to grow that is the tomato plant. For a mere 30 credits, you can grow these plants all over the plot of land that you own and after a few days, you’ll get your return. It’s not much but well, it doesn’t really take too much of an effort since you will not be required to water it or weed it. You’ll just need to sit back and wait.
One of the most interesting parts of this game, besides the freedom in creating your own items, is the extensive role-playing. There are players who formed families and do stuff together in Chit Chat City. Some of the well-known families in Chit Chat City have their own exclusive hang out spot which is barred from the outside world. The extent to which players in Chit Chat City role-plays is rather intriguing and fun to join in with.
None withstanding, I’ve noticed that the game glitches rather frequently when you’re in building mode. Either creating a new line of dresses or redecorating your house. Moreover, it does take quite an amount of skill and practise to be able to create beautiful designs. For players who like mini-games, this game does not offer much in that aspect. In fact, I believe they should have more ways for players to earn credits. Killing endless waves of zombies just to get enough credits to buy stuff to decorate my house isn’t really a lot of fun.
In short, Chit Chat City is definitely a game of imagination and creativity. The freedom in which the game allows you to design your avatar’s own clothes, pets to follow you around with, decorative items for your house or even your brand new ride is one of the best features that I’ve seen in any virtual worlds despite having some glitches.
