Virtual Families: Cook Off is a mobile time management cooking game with a slice of house decorating elements. In this game, you play as a family that has moved into a new home. It is time to heat up the grill and cook up all kinds of delicious food to earn enough money for the renovation! Prepare a whole variety of gourmet food and drinks from all over the world and have a blast with a ton of cooking techniques!
The mechanics of this time management game is quite straightforward, but the gameplay really tests the player’s management and prioritization abilities as the game goes on. To start things off, simply tap on the main ingredient to put it on the hot grill and begin cooking. Once the meat is cooked, tap on it to remove it from the grill and place it on an open bun. Tap on the meal that is ready to serve it, and receive the payment from your customers.
As you progress further in levels, the types of ingredients, garnishes and so on will increase in variety, so you will need to pay close attention to your customers’ orders before you prepare a meal. Otherwise, you might be stuck with the wrong type of dish and will have to cook up a new dish which will take some time. Be careful not to leave your meat on the grill for too long after it is finished cooking, as it will gradually become burnt and unusable afterward.
Every customer has his or her own patience level. The patience gauge is shown beside them, and it will slowly decrease over time as they wait for you to serve them their orders. If the gauge depletes completely, the customer will become fed up and leave without their order, which also means you lose the payment for that meal.
To keep up with the ever-growing demands of the customers, you are going to have to upgrade your kitchenware and appliances. For instance, upgrading the beverage machine will allow it to prepare more drinks at the same time, so you can serve customers even more quickly. On the other hand, upgrading the ingredients that you use to cook will increase the number of tips you can receive after serving a meal that has that ingredient!
There are a bunch of boosters available in the game that will greatly assist you in reaching your goals. These include a Price Doubler that lets you earn twice as much for each meal, the Popsicles that cool down all customers by replenishing their patience level, and many more!
After clearing up to a certain number of stages, you can unlock different renovation and decoration options to clean up your home, and steadily increase its value until it is ready to be sold for a high price!
