Developed by Qiiwi Games AB, Hell’s Kitchen is a captivating and highly absorbing game in the match-3 puzzle genre in which you’ll be filling the shoes of your character, Olivia, who sets out on an ambitious journey to turn an outdated mansion into a lavish new restaurant which is not only her task but is also her childhood dream so gear up, put on your apron, and start renovating and delivering delicious dishes to your customers and help Olivia fulfill her dream.
To help you and Olivia learn the basics, the game begins with a detailed tutorial in which you’ll be briefed about every single basic element of the gameplay so even if you’re playing the game for the first time, the learning curve is made massively easy through this streamlined tutorial. When it comes to the gameplay, the game isn't too dissimilar to traditional match-3 games where you have to match identical tiles to make matches however, what makes this game a whole lot more intriguing is that it features restaurant renovating and designing elements as well so you’ll be enjoying two different things at the same time.
As the level begins, you’ll see a set of tiles in a complicated layout with all of those tiles having vegetables drawn on them. Your main task in the game will be to look for 3 or more similar-looking tiles and match them to make them vanish from the layout and you’ll have to keep making these matches until the whole layout is cleared. To make the matches, you’ll have to tap on all the same looking tiles consecutively and once they’re matched, you’ll have to move on to the next ones. Upon completing every puzzle, you’ll be taken to the other side of the game where Olivia has to make wise choices in order to give the restaurant an elegant look.
You’ll be presented with 3 choices for every item such as floor designs, carpets, furniture, and all the other décor items and you’ll have to choose one to renovate your restaurant. Getting back to the puzzles, they can be tricky to solve but the game features a few power-ups and boosters that can make your task a little easier for you so whenever you’re rewarded with the chance to use one, you should make the most of it as they can clear the entire layout with a single turn.
The visual so of the game are truly top-notch thanks to the wonderful level designs, creative character designs, and sleek animations that make the gameplay so much more pleasing and appealing.
