Kick Some Ghostly Butts with the Original Ghostbusters in Planet Coaster's Brand New DLC!

Diesen Artickel einschätzen If there's something strange in your neighborhood.... who do you call? Ghostbusters! Virtuell Worlds Land! - Kick Some Ghostly Butts with the Original Ghostbusters in Planet Coaster's Brand New DLC!

Featuring none other than the classic ghostbusting crew, film set, and iconic characters from the 80s, Planet Coaster’s brand-new Ghostbusters DLC is definitely one of the more sentimental DLCs to get!

The entrance to the Ghostbusters film set

This DLC comes with a full-fledged, story-driven campaign where you’ll not only need to “deal” with the EPA who’s not a huge fan of the Ghostbusters team, let alone the idea of them setting up a theme park (though you are the one they appoint to manage it all) that’s “supposedly” haunted (It is *winks*); you’ll also need to make sure the theme park is at least making a profit.

As usual, there are three objectives that you can complete in the campaign and once you do that, you should be able to get the highest award possible – a golden star.

The Ghostbusters Experience

The DLC introduces a brand-new, interactive ride called The Ghostbusters’ Experience, where visitors on the ride will be able to “join” the Ghostbusters on their many adventures and help them take on various ghosts. Each ghost you bust will award you with some points, and in order to get the highest score, you’ll need to be quick and accurate. Naturally, there will be a leaderboard and you can compare your score with your friends or other players all around the world.

There is also another kiddie coaster introduced here, called the RollerGhoster. It’s basically a Slimer-themed ride where Slimer itself will be escorting the train as it goes through the many twists and turns on its tracks.

Give your visitors a good scare with Stay Puft Marshmallow Man

In addition to the rides, the Ghostbuster DLC adds in a chockful of items, including the film set of the original 1984 movie. The set itself houses many iconic locations such as the Ghostbusters HQ, Spook Central, and the ECTO-1. You can hire the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man – not the ghost-possessed version – to walk among your park’s visitors and give them a hearty scare too!

Of course, to top it all off, the game managed to secure the rights to the unmistakable theme song of the classic Ghostbusters movie by Ray Parker Jr. so you can enjoy the song as you design your theme park. After all, who can resist yelling out “Ghostbusters” whenever Ray sings “Who do you call”?

So, to sum it all up, if you love the classic Ghostbusters movie and you enjoy playing Planet Coasters, this DLC is a no-brainer purchase, for sure! It has so many familiar items in it, plus two incredibly fun rides that I’m sure you can’t wait to experience first-hand!
